Zemer Peled Studio Workshop

In this weekend workshop, students will learn how to create a small sculpture using porcelain fragments in various shapes and sizes. On Saturday, students will learn nerikomi, a Japanese technique to create colorful patterns in the porcelain, and an extruder to create porcelain fragments. On Sunday, students will return to the studio to learn handbuilding techniques and create a small sculpture. All materials will be provided, as well as snacks. There will be a 1 hour break from 12:00-1:00 for lunch. Students are welcome to pack a lunch or visit nearby restaurants. Finished pieces will be available for pick up after firing in the studio the following week or shipped via mail (shipping costs not included in workshop fee).

Some prior experience working with clay is required.
